A Bento-style grid for everything you make

17 September 2026

Bento gave makers a page of boxes: a big box for the thing you were proudest of, small boxes for the rest. That page is gone. Bento shut down on 13 February 2026, its links now redirect to Linktree, and user data was deleted after the shutdown (AlternativeTo). On 17 September 2026, bento.me answered with a permanent redirect to https://linktr.ee/.

Linktree is good at what it does: a clean vertical list of links that loads fast and that people already know how to use. If a list is what you want, it works. But if you liked Bento because your work had a shape, with a film that deserved more room than a link to your newsletter, a list is a different kind of page. This note shows you a grid page that keeps that shape.

What a grid page gives you that a list does not

A list gives every link the same weight. A grid lets size carry meaning:

That last point matters if you make more than one kind of thing. A filmmaker who also ships apps and writes music should not have to choose which of those the page is about.

How inkoji lays out a page

inkoji is one page for everything you make. Your address is inkoji.com/<handle>. The page is drawn on the server, so it opens as a normal web page in any browser, with no app to install.

The page is a grid of typed tiles. There are six tile types:

Tile typeWhat it holds
linkAny https link, shown as a card
textA short note in your words
imageOne of your pictures
YouTubeA YouTube video
mediaYour own video or audio file
embedA live tool inside the page

Each tile takes one of five sizes: 1x1, 2x1, 1x2, 2x2, or a 4-wide strip.

Some links know what they are. Paste a YouTube, GitHub, App Store or TestFlight link and it becomes the right kind of tile by itself, so an App Store link shows up as an app, and a GitHub link shows up as a repo.

The example page

To see a grid holding mixed work, open the example page: a maker's page at inkoji.com/cyberyogi. It is a filmmaker and app maker's page, and it holds:

None of these are forced into the same shape. The film is big because it is the headline. The repo link is small because one line says enough.

You can read the same page as data, too:

curl https://inkoji.com/cyberyogi.json

That returns every tile with its type, size and position. Every inkoji page has this at inkoji.com/<handle>.json.

Building your own grid

You do not fill in a form. The page is the editor.

  1. Sign in with Google, or with a one-time link sent to your email. There is no password.
  2. Press Edit on your own page.
  3. Paste a link or drop a file. A YouTube link becomes a video tile; an App Store link becomes an app tile.
  4. Drag tiles where you want them and pick a size for each.
  5. Press Done.

If you delete a tile by mistake, it stays for 24 hours and can be restored.

You can also let your own AI arrange the page for you. ChatGPT and Claude can both connect to inkoji and build the grid from the links you give them. See let Claude keep your page up to date for the steps.

What it costs

Publishing is free. A free page holds links, notes, YouTube tiles, embeds, one image and up to 50 tiles.

If you want your own pictures and files on the page, it is $9 a year, as one payment. It is not a subscription and nothing renews by itself; a mail comes once, two weeks before the year ends. The paid year holds 50 images, 50 MB of video, audio and PDFs, and 500 tiles. The details are on the pricing page.

If the year ends and you do not renew, the page stays up exactly as it is. You can still change words and move tiles. New uploads wait until you renew.

If you are coming from Bento

Bento offered a zip export before it closed. If you saved yours, you already have your links and text. If you did not, your old page is not coming back, so start from what you remember and from the places your work already lives: your YouTube channel, your App Store listings, your GitHub.

Once you have your list, remember that the list is only half the work. Decide which one or two pieces deserve the big squares. That choice is what made a Bento page feel like yours.

inkoji also gives you ways to leave, so you are not in the same spot again. Export, in the footer when you are signed in, downloads the whole page as one HTML file, as visitors see it. A published page's data is also its own JSON, at inkoji.com/<handle>.json. For more on planning for a shutdown, read when your link-in-bio service shuts down.

What to do next

  1. Open inkoji.com/cyberyogi and look at how the sizes are used.
  2. Write down the one piece of work that should be the biggest tile on your page.
  3. Collect the links for everything else: films, apps, repos, songs.
  4. Sign in, press Edit, and paste them in one at a time.
  5. Give your headline work a 2x2 tile, put a strip across the top in your own words, and press Done.
