When your link-in-bio service shuts down

17 September 2026

Your bio link is printed on business cards, pinned in profiles and buried in old posts. When the service behind it closes, all of those links break at once. This has already happened several times. This note lists the closures we could confirm as of 17 September 2026, what users were offered, and a checklist you can use to leave any tool before you have to.

What you lose when a page goes

The address is the hardest to replace, because you do not control every place it was shared. The content is the easiest, if you saved it in time.

A leaving checklist

Use this for any link-in-bio tool, whether it is closing or not.

  1. Copy every link by hand if there is no export. Paste each title and URL into a plain text file. A competitor blog, Linkero, claims Linktree has no link export and offers analytics as CSV only; we could not confirm that, so check your own account.
  2. Save your images. Download the originals from your own files, not screenshots.
  3. Export analytics if the tool offers it.
  4. Build the new page before the old one closes, so you can compare them side by side.
  5. Change the bio link everywhere you control it: every social profile, your email signature, your website.
  6. Keep a list of places you cannot edit, like printed cards, so you know which old links will stay broken.
  7. Pick a tool that lets you leave. Check for an export, a public data file and a clear delete before you commit.

What inkoji gives you to leave

inkoji is a new service, and you should judge it by the same checklist. Here is what it offers today.

curl https://inkoji.com/cyberyogi.json

That is the data of a maker's page at inkoji.com/cyberyogi, with its HDR reel, apps and matte painting.

curl -H "Authorization: Bearer ink_…" https://inkoji.com/api/page

The same rule holds if you simply stop paying. The page stays up exactly as it is, and only new uploads wait. Details are on the pricing page.

Choosing where to go next

If you came from Bento and liked its grid, read a Bento-style grid for everything you make. If you want a side-by-side of the tools still running, with prices as of 17 September 2026, read link-in-bio tools compared.

What to do next

  1. Today, copy every link and title from your current tool into a text file.
  2. If you use Tap Bio, put 31 October 2026 in your calendar with a week to spare.
  3. Build the new page, then update every bio you control.
  4. Wherever you land, find its export and delete options before you add a single tile.
