# Link-in-bio tools compared (2026) and the ones that closed

You want one link in your bio. There are many tools for it, and some have closed in the last few years. This note puts real prices side by side, lists the services that shut down with sources, and says plainly where inkoji fits and where it does not.

## How we checked

All prices below were read on each vendor's own page on 17 September 2026, in the currency the page served. We did not use memory or old reviews for prices. Where a page could not be read, we say so. Prices change, so open the pricing page before you decide.

## Prices as of 17 September 2026

| Product | Free plan | Paid plans (as shown) | Pricing page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Linktree | Free, ₹0 | Starter ₹220/mo billed annually or ₹360 monthly. Pro ₹440/mo billed annually or ₹650 monthly. Premium ₹1,250/mo billed annually or ₹1,450 monthly. Agency/Enterprise: no price shown. | [linktr.ee/s/pricing](https://linktr.ee/s/pricing) |

### Caveats on the table

- Linktree served its page in Indian rupees because the check came from an India IP address. The page says prices vary by region. We did not see US dollar prices, so none are shown here. A third-party site reports a price rise effective 13 November 2025 (Starter $5 to $8, Pro $9 to $15, Premium $24 to $35, monthly, USD): [pricetimeline.com](https://pricetimeline.com/news/181). We could not confirm those numbers on Linktree's own page.
- Linktree's page shows both "Sell products (9% seller fees)" and "Sell digital products (0% seller fees)" on different plan cards. We could not confirm which fee goes with which plan. Its FAQ lists "USD$0.25 per payout".
- Beacons' main pricing address, beacons.ai/pricing, returned 403. The prices above come from home.beacons.ai/plans.
- Milkshake prices come from its home page. We did not read a separate pricing page.
- Carrd.co now redirects to carrd.com.

## What each one is good at

- Linktree is a list-style page, and its pricing page shows selling features.
- Beacons is built for creators who sell, with plan tiers that lower the transaction fee to 0%.
- Carrd's Pro Lite plan covers three sites for $9 a year, and larger plans scale to hundreds of sites.
- Milkshake comes as an app, with low monthly prices.
- Indie Page shows a founder's startups on one page, with one-time pricing.
- Lnk.bio is reported to sell one-time plans, but we could not read its page to confirm.

## The ones that shut down

A link-in-bio page is only as lasting as the company behind it. These closed or are closing.

| Service | What happened | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Bento.me | Shut 13 February 2026. bento.me now redirects (301) to linktr.ee. Data deleted after the shutdown. | [alternativeto.net](https://alternativeto.net/news/2025/12/bento-to-shut-down-in-2026-as-linktree-takes-over-and-offers-migration-path/) |
| Koji | Shut 31 January 2024, after Linktree bought it in December 2023. Its sites gave no page when checked. | [techcrunch.com](https://techcrunch.com/2023/12/14/linktree-acquires-link-in-bio-platform-koji-in-its-second-investment-of-the-year/) |
| Read.cv | Wound down after a Perplexity acquisition announced 17 January 2025. Export deadline was 16 May 2025. read.cv returns HTTP 402 today. | [neowin.net](https://www.neowin.net/news/readcv-announces-acquisition-by-perplexity-as-it-begins-winding-down-operations/) |
| Tap Bio | Closing 31 October 2026, with no export tool promised, per third-party reports. | [taplink.at](https://taplink.at/en/blog/tap-bio-over.html), [linke.ro](https://linke.ro/blog/tap-bio-shutting-down-alternatives) |
| Linkpop (Shopify) | Reported shut, per a third-party report. | [silex.me](https://www.silex.me/blog/link-in-bio-alternative-open-source/) |

If your page is on Tap Bio, copy your links out now. The steps are in [When your link-in-bio service shuts down](/notes/when-your-link-in-bio-shuts-down). If you used Bento for its grid, read [A Bento-style grid for everything you make](/notes/bento-style-grid-for-everything-you-make).

## Where inkoji fits

inkoji is one page for everything a maker makes: typed tiles on a grid. Tile types are link, text, image, YouTube, media (video or audio) and embed, in sizes 1x1, 2x1, 1x2, 2x2 and a 4-wide strip.

It is a good fit if your work is films, apps, songs, images and tools, and you want them shown as work, not as a list of buttons. See the example page at [inkoji.com/cyberyogi](https://inkoji.com/cyberyogi): a short film, an HDR reel, app tiles, a matte painting and open-source work on one grid.

It is not a store. There are no sales features and no checkout. There are also no ads and no analytics script or ad pixel on any page. If selling from your bio link is the point, Linktree or Beacons is built for that.

The price: free for links, notes, YouTube, embeds, one image and 50 tiles, with publishing included. The paid year is $9, one payment, and nothing renews by itself. It adds 50 images, 50 MB of video, audio and PDFs, and 500 tiles. Details on [pricing](/pricing). Carrd's Pro Lite is also $9 a year, and Indie Page is also one-time, so inkoji is not the only low-cost option.

Leaving is built in, which matters given the table above. Export in the footer downloads your page as one HTML file, and a published page's data is readable as JSON:

```
curl https://inkoji.com/cyberyogi.json
```

## What to do next

1. Write down what your bio link must do: sell, or show work.
2. Open the pricing pages above and check today's price in your currency.
3. If you are on a service in the shutdown table, export or copy your links today.
4. Pick the tool that matches the first step, and keep a copy of your links outside it.
